Cherries for 'Auntie'©
In 1998, I was very lucky in having a painting selected & hung in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The  BBC were doing a piece on the 4 artists from my region who had work in the show. These items were especially set up the night before and the painting begun, as they wanted to film me in the studio working on a painting. The title was easy - 'Auntie' being the 'Beeb' of course, (as the BBC has been so affectionately tagged for many years). It was a very novel, if not unnerving experience - at one point, curious, I turned slightly to find the camera barely an inch from the top of my shoulder!
Again the use of one of my favourite large Portmeirion cups, together with a little china coffee pot bought in a bric a brac shop some 23 or so years ago. - Cherries for 'Auntie' - 18x14" oils on paper
